Medical Detox – Phase 1
Service Description
This is the phase of our program where you will be safely taken through drug and/or alcohol withdrawal. Popularly called “detox”.
Our holistic, non-disease based philosophy starts on our medically assisted detox and continues throughout our program.
Our doctors have over 30yrs of experience combined in the detox area and only short term use of non-addictive drugs are used to help you in your detox. The exact approach for your detox is determined by one of our doctors only after an extensive one-on-one medical interview.
We have one of the shortest and most successful medical detox programs due to our integrative and progressive methods which follow our holistic and non-addictive drug philosophy.
Phase 1 with us will be done in a comfy home-like addiction treatment facility in the sunny beach town of San Clemente. Our doctor lives on-site and provides a more personalized medical detox treatment for our clients.
Of course, each person is different, so there is no “rubber stamp” aspect to this highly important stage. Each person is treated with respect, dignity, care and as a unique individual.
What to Expect
Doctor lives on site to care for you during detox.
We accommodate for co-occurring medical conditions and work to address these. This continues throughout all phases.
All staff are trained and experienced in handling detox and withdrawals.
Located only steps away from the beach in Southern Orange County at a separate location from the rest of our program phases.
Detox in a clean, safe home-like environment with good food.
Intimate small groups so clients get the individual attention they deserve.
Always must be with a staff member.
No cell or computer use on this phase unless directly approved by staff.
Fitness programs with gym, yoga, beach walks, swimming, tennis and basketball.
Schedule
24hr a day in-patient detox services with varying daily group and individual sessions.
End Result
Someone who is safely detoxed from drugs, alcohol and/or medications and no longer feeling the effects of withdrawals.
A person who is no longer on drugs or alcohol and can move forward into getting their full health recovered.
The Medical Detox step is complete only when the doctor has signified that the client is safely off all of the targeted medications, drugs and/or alcohol and has given clearance that the person is now stable. This is accomplished by systematically reducing the client from the addictive substances which they are currently taking. The result from this step is: “A Client who has been stabilized from withdrawal symptoms.” The Detox & Withdrawal Specialists work closely with the instructions of the doctor and her proficient medical team to ensure this step is complete before moving onto the next phase of the program.
