At first, I was a little skeptical of the sauna program. I did do some research and after reading the success stories from others (online) I thought I might just give it a try.

I have tried other methods in the past and I have never felt as good as I did when I finished the sauna program. In just about under 30 days, all the restlessness and pain from the last 4 years of opiate use has finally left my body.

During a lecture on Essential Oils, they told us how the foot soles can absorb oils. Their example: Put garlic on your feet and within 20 minutes you can ‘taste’ it.

Some of us have used Vicks VapoRub for years for everything from chapped lips to sore toes and many body parts in between. But I’ve never heard of this. And don’t laugh, it works 100% of the time, although the scientists who discovered it aren’t sure why. To stop night time coughing in a child (or adult as we found out personally), put Vicks VapoRubgenerously on the soles of your feet, cover with socks, and the heavy, deep coughing will stop in about 5 minutes and stay stopped for many, many hours of relief. Just happened to tune in A.M. Radio and picked up this guy talking about why cough medicines in kids often do more harm than good, due to the chemicals in them This method of using Vicks VapoRub on the soles of the feet was found to be more effective than prescribed medicines for children at bed time. In addition it seems to have a soothing and calming effect on sick children who then went on to sleep soundly.

My wife tried it on herself when she had a very deep constant and persistent cough a few weeks ago and it worked 100%! She said that it felt like a warm blanket had enveloped her, coughing stopped in a few minutes. According to the (CDC) Center for Disease Control, 75,000 lives will be lost to alcohol abuse. It may be pleasurable to have a glass of fine wine with dinner in moderation. But, what happens when that one glass becomes two or three, a bottle and onto the next. A few drinks on the weekend to relieve some stress and it seems to work.

Then it becomes a habit, a dependency, an addiction. The person who is addicted to alcohol is no longer the same. They are not all there and do not behave as they would normally. Under the influence, the least of which they may say or do stupid or foolish things due to lack of inhibitions-or the worst, while drunk behind the wheel of a car, they mow down an innocent child. Besides their own, how many lives would be forever ruined?

Alcohol is everywhere. It is legal and socially acceptable to a point.  Alcohol abuse is also prevalent.  The person drinks to the point of unconsciousness, or has blackouts, unable to recall the events of the night before, has tremors when they don’t drink, acts irrationally, can’t function socially or productively.  Can’t go a day without going into withdrawals- the list goes on.  That person has a serious problem and needs help. They may be in denial and unable to admit to there own condition. However, denial can be deadly.

In 2008, Heath Ledger, a highly acclaimed actor died at the age of 28 from a lethal combination of prescription drugs.

After two weeks of media speculation about the causes of Ledger’s death, on 6 February 2008, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of New York released its conclusions, based on an initial autopsy of 23 January 2008, and a subsequent complete toxicological analysis. The report concludes, in part, “Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine.” It states definitively: “We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications.” The medications found in the toxicological analysis are commonly prescribed in the United States for insomnia, anxiety, depression, pain, and/or common cold symptoms. The official announcement of the cause and manner of Ledger’s death heightened concerns about the growing problems of prescription drug abuse or misuse and Combined Drug Intoxication (CDI).

It is not uncommon for a person with the diagnosis’ listed above to be prescribed a panoply of drugs that lead to lethal combinations.

Many of these drugs are addictive and create dependencies that are physically dangerous and virtually impossible to detoxify from alone.  As the tolerance for more drugs increase, one could easily underestimate the dosage or be so drugged that the person cannot recall how many pills and/or what they have taken.

While celebrity Heath Ledger’s demise brought attention to the growing problem of combined prescription drug abuse. It is more common than you think.  Mix some of the above drugs with alcohol and if you are lucky the paramedics get to you before it’s too late.

Primum non nocere is a Latin phrase that means “First, do no harm“.

Nonmaleficence, which derives from the above phrase, is one of the fundamental precepts of medical ethics all medical students are taught in medical school.  In other words…it may be better not to do something, or even to do nothing, than to risk causing more harm than good.

It reminds the physician and other health care providers that they must consider possible harm that any intervention might do. It is invoked when debating the use of an intervention that carries an obvious risk of harm but a less certain chance of benefit. The Hippocratic Oath includes the promise “to abstain from doing harm.”

Why are physicians and health care providers taught this? They have the power to do harm because we trust them.  If one has an accident, or become seriously ill, a patient’s life is in their hands.

However, there is BAD news.  There are doctors who are doing harm and in great volume. Psychiatrists are busy inventing new diseases at psychiatric conventions for which more prescription of psychiatric medications can be written.  Hand in glove with big Pharma and the FDA, the practice of medicine, can make you very, very sick, indeed.

The practice of writing prescriptions for psychiatric medications (which are nearly impossible to come off, on one’s own) has trickled down to the Internist, the Gynecologist, the ‘Family Doctor” and  “The Specialist.”  Pharmaceutical companies court them. Here comes the latest greatest drug over a catered lunch.  Next, samples of these drugs are being handed out to patients who believe in and trust their doctors.

The harm is to the patient, who may be uninformed regarding the prescription med they are being prescribed and ultimately becomes the victim of dependency, horrible side effects, and nightmarish withdrawals. In the cases of antidepressants, homicidal or suicidal tendencies can and have been unleashed.  The after affects are tragic.

Whether it is pain medication, medication for insomnia, medication for anxiety, or any medication for any ailment. It is extremely important to know what you are taking before you put that drug in your body.

Of course, not all physicians are bad and many are extremely ethical. Regardless, they are operating under the influence.  Those that are ethical resist. Yet, the powers of the drug companies and the FDA are both pervasive and persuasive.  After all, there are BILLIONS of dollars, deutschmarks, pounds, etc. involved. The true currency they deal in, is drugging the population.

This is the best experience in sauna I have ever had. So many things blew early that I previously thought I had run out in prior saunas. I was very willing and open minded during this experience to achieve the goal I went into the sauna with. Pat (Pur staff member) is the best Sauna Detox Specialist ever. Wow! Before I came down here I was feeling hopeless about my situation and trapped. I didn’t feel that I could overcome the barriers of physical pain and trauma without medications. Obviously this closed the dooor to having a clean, happy life and inhibited my progress in achieving my goals. Despite the difficulties had to overcome with life still running and doing this program. I feel completely different from when I arrived. My viewpoint on life, interpersonal relationships and my future have completely shifted. My reality on the effect that drugs have on a being spirituatlly and the devastation they create has increased 300%. I’m glad that I did the program with work study as it increased my confront and raised my necessity and discipline. Thanks to all who helped me through this. It is so good you are here.

Per  “Late Breaking News” from an E-lert site:

“A group of US representatives plan to introduce legislation that will legalize marijuana and allow states to legislate its use, pro-marijuana groups said Wednesday. The legislation would limit the federal government’s role in marijuana enforcement to cross-border or inter-state smuggling, and allow people to legally grow, use or sell marijuana in states where it is legal. The bill, which is expected to be introduced on Thursday by Republican Representative Ron Paul and Democratic Representative Barney Frank, would be the first ever legislation designed to end the federal ban on marijuana.”

Of course, this would generate revenue for the federal government, as there is nothing for sale for which they do not collect taxes.  With the economy in the tank, we need to refill the coffers and what better way then to introduce a new product, already surveyed and desired by many.

But, what are the consequences of this? Smoking marijuana is part of our culture? It being as readily available as alcohol? Another source of revenue? From more DUI’s, that’s for sure.

The film “Reefer Madness” has become a cult classic and is viewed by users of pot as hilarious.  However, there was a young girl from the south side of Chicago who started smoking marijuana which led to trying psychedelics, then to speed, then to cocaine, other psychedelics, then to hard core drug experimentation-heroin.

Within a matter of a few years, many of her former high school friends were full blown heroin addicts and at least three died of overdoses.  At age nineteen, she left her hometown and moved to West Palm Beach  to get away from drugs, only to find the same scene she had tried to escape from. Only now, she fell in with cocaine dealers.  By the time she was twenty-five, clearly, she wouldn’t make it to thirty if she did not end drug use-‘hobnobbing’ with the lowest common denominator of society in the subterranean world of illegal hard drugs. It wasn’t glamorous, especially when one acquaintance asked her for a ride and once she had agreed, he got into the car and put his concealed 45-caliber pistol under the seat.  She got him to his destination fast and soon changed her own course in life.

Marijuana is a mind-altering drug, while it initially causes euphoria,  it makes one slower, less productive, can cause paranoia, slurred speech and the all-inclusive munchies. As if obesity isn’t already a problem in this country. While these observations are not true for everyone- they are for most.
