In the field of drug and alcohol rehabilitation today, one can do a survey and see that the field is monopolized by pharmaceutical and insurance companies. One of the deadliest and most addicting drugs today is one that is prescribed by a doctor and is the advocate for the treatment of heroine abuse, its called methadone. Even though the general consensus among several medical professionals is methadone merely covers up the want to use and is highly addictive; they continue to prescribe this medication. The truth is that methadone handling for heroine abuse is very dangerous. Its not handling the reason why the addict has the issue but just replacing one drug with another. Joseph Glenmullen of the Harvard Medical School says prescription drugs merely numb feelings just as the addictive behavior one did and wont allow the person to successfully overcome his or her addiction. If that’s not bad enough, the side effects alone should be a deterrent.
Taliban – At least they were destroying Opium Production
Who are the Taliban? I’m not too sure. They don’t look like nice guys at all. Of course all my data comes from media controlled outlets from the U.S. mainly. But from all sources I can see they look pretty darn strict on the population.
